My name is Ed, and I am the "team captain" at the Independence Academy (IA) All Pro Dad (APD) chapter.
Our chapter holds monthly meetings where I have the privilege to introduce different topics to dads and their kids. We introduce different topic such as Integrity, Self Control, Creativity, Contentment, Forgiveness, Service, and Dependability. We play games and do activities together and individually to reinforce these topics and strengthen the bonds between Fathers and their children. And of course, we always give out lots of prizes!
We meet the first Friday of every month at 7am in the STEM Lab. We have juice, coffee and donuts for the kids and their dads. Check-in is required for dads at the main office prior to entering the campus. Check-in starts at 6:45am.
We also conduct APD "Serve" event on campus on the first Saturday of the month, in the mornings. During our Serve events, Dads (and their kiddos) tackle a project that Mrs. Ringdahl might have on her list to be done. Things include pressure washing, landscape work, painting, etc.
All you have to do to get involved, is to simply show up!
