The All Pro Dad Independence Academy Chapter is on a mission to help you love and lead your family well and build a strong school community that values Fatherhood engagement. We are a group of Fathers who are passionately committed to bringing intentional focus to fathers within our school community. Our message will inspire you to embrace who you are, give you tenderness of heart, and boldness of character as a dad and husband. We are consistently here for you to provide guidance and practical tips in raising your kids in a life-giving way.
My name is Ed DeRose, and I am the Captain of the APD chapter that we are establishing at IA. My daughter will be attending IA in August, and we have been blessed by the program tenfold over the last several years at her previous elementary school. I had the privilege of serving as the Chapter Captain at her previous school. When we learned that IA didn't have an APD chapter, I made it my mission to meet with IA administration and get a chapter established ASAP.
We have lots of planning to do and finalizing on how we will shape our program at IA, but generally, the program is built around monthly Chapter meetings (first Friday of the month) where children and dads will be able to join our meetings, enjoy donuts & coffee/juice and participate in games, activities and videos focused on teaching core values such as courage, humility, integrity, gentleness, service, forgiveness, etc. We will also encourage IA dads to become involved on campus at our APD Serve events, which are scheduled on Saturdays and focused on campus improvement projects (painting, pressure washing, landscape cleanup work, etc.). Principal Ringdahl also has ideas for dads to participate in car line support and other various campus activities.
Exciting times are coming to IA. With the support of Principal Ringdahl and the IA administration team, our possibilities to grow our APD Chapter are limitless!
Please add your contact information to receive updates on upcoming APD activities at IA.
