Letting go is never easy, but someday, our teens will be adults who’ll need us to do that. It’s wise to prepare them (and ourselves) for it now by giving them age-appropriate freedom. Teens only learn the value of making good choices when they have opportunities to make them. Freedom provides those opportunities.
